Dynamic QR codes, explained like you’re five

Step 1

A QR code is just a door

People point their camera at it and walk through to a web page. Simple. The problem? A normal QR code is a door that’s glued shut — it opens to one page, forever.

Step 2

QioFork makes the door magic

Your code points to a tiny QioFork address, and YOU decide where that address leads. Change it Tuesday. Change it again Friday. The printed code never knows the difference.

Step 3

And the door counts visitors

Every scan tells you when, from what device, and from which country. It’s like a doorbell camera for your marketing — minus the creepy part (we store zero personal data).

That’s the whole trick. No app for your visitors, no tech skills for you.

Everything your printed marketing was missing

Static QR codes are a liability — one typo or moved page and your print run is trash. QioFork makes them editable, measurable and reusable.

Dynamic QR codes

Your code encodes a short link, not the destination. Reroute it anytime — even after it ships on 10,000 flyers, menus or product boxes.

Analytics that matter

Clicks over time, devices, referrers, countries and unique visitors — privacy-friendly, no cookies, no consent banners needed.

Branded slugs

Memorable links like /r/summer-sale that customers trust. Branded links get up to 39% more clicks than random strings.

Instant redirects

Sub-millisecond lookups on an indexed hot path. Your visitors never feel the hop — analytics are recorded asynchronously.

Branded QR designer

Match your brand: custom colors, transparent backgrounds and your logo embedded in the center — exported print-ready up to 2048px PNG or vector SVG.

Smart Routing

One QR, many destinations: route by time of day (lunch vs dinner menu), device (App Store vs Play Store), A/B-test variants by weight, and auto-expire campaigns with a fallback page.

Animated story

The flyer drama, in 18 seconds

Same business. Same printer. Very different outcome.

Act 1: Static QR panic

404 page not found

!

The campaign changed. The printed code did not.

Act 2: QioFork fix
/r/spring-menu
/r/summer-launch
/r/holiday-sale
Edited in dashboard, not in print shop

One printed QR. Infinite destination updates.

The funny part: your old reprint budget becomes profitTry it on your next campaign

A short story about 5,000 flyers

The old way

  1. 1Print 5,000 flyers with a QR code
  2. 2Marketing changes the campaign URL
  3. 3Your QR code now opens a 404 page
  4. 4Recycle 5,000 flyers, cry a little
  5. 5Pay the print shop. Again.
  6. 6Repeat next season

The QioFork way

  1. 1Print 5,000 flyers with a QioFork QR
  2. 2Marketing changes the campaign URL
  3. 3You update the link in 10 seconds, from your phone
  4. 4Flyers keep working like nothing happened
  5. 5Check stats, see scans rolling in
  6. 6Spend the reprint budget on literally anything else

Ink is permanent. Your links shouldn’t be.

Made for people with real jobs

You don’t need a marketing degree or an IT department. If you can paste a link, you’re overqualified.

The café owner

Before: Laminated 40 table menus. Chef changed the menu a week later.

After: One QR on every table. Menu changes? Edit the link, done before the espresso machine warms up. Lunch and dinner menus even swap automatically on schedule.

The real-estate agent

Before: Yard signs printed per listing. Sold homes = dead signs.

After: One reusable QR per sign frame. House sold? Point it at the next listing. The sign budget became a one-time cost — and every scan shows which street gets attention.

The event organizer

Before: Posters printed a month early, program changed twice since.

After: Posters carry one QR that always opens the latest program. After the event it auto-expires to a “see you next year” page instead of an embarrassing dead link.

The marketer

Before: No clue whether the billboard or the flyer drives signups.

After: Different QR per placement, A/B variants per QR, device routing to the right app store. Finally, print campaigns report numbers like ad campaigns do.

Frequently asked questions

I’m not technical. Is this for me?

Especially for you. If you can copy and paste a web address, you can use QioFork. Create a link, download the QR picture, put it on anything printable. There is a 30-second tour when you sign up, and the free plan means you can try it with zero risk.

What makes a QR code “dynamic”?

The printed code encodes a QioFork short link instead of your final URL. When someone scans it, we redirect them to wherever the link currently points — so you can change the destination after printing without touching the artwork.

Do scans work without an app?

Yes. Every modern phone camera scans QR codes natively. Visitors are redirected instantly in their browser — no app, no interstitial pages.

Is the analytics GDPR-friendly?

We never store IP addresses or set cookies on visitors. Unique visitors are counted with a salted one-way hash that rotates daily, so no personal data is retained.

What happens if I downgrade?

Your links keep redirecting — we never break printed codes. You just can’t create beyond the free limit or access Pro features until you upgrade again.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Billing runs on Stripe and you can cancel from the customer portal in one click. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period.

What if I already printed a boring, non-dynamic QR code?

Our condolences — that one is frozen forever. But your next print run doesn’t have to be: create a QioFork code first, print second. Future-you will be grateful.

Stop reprinting. Start forging links.

Your first 25 dynamic QR codes are free — forever. Set up in less time than it takes to open a design tool.
